As I think about this blog and all of the changes that I have taken it through.  It gives me some insight on life and the way that I have been living it.  I have been making lots of changes in my own life.  Changes for the better, but I am coming to see that I have made too many changes how ever good.

See too much of a good thing is still… too much.  You have to make decisions quickly and slowly change your mind.  Or else, you will become flighty and never taking hold of your life or mastering any area.

I have had this blog since March.  I could have had a certian amount of mastery of this blog.  But instead I have had no focus.  So, the word of this post is FOCUS.

Working With My Love

Recently my life has taken a turn of focus.  I have decided to go into a venture with my love.  We are both very business minded and have many goals.  Our goals are very different and they keep us apart.  In an effort to focus as well as be with the one that I love.  I have decided to update this blog a few times a week.   Those days being Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

This way, I will be able to focus my efforts on business at hand and still feel a since of self, by sharing the wonderful self-help knowlege that I love so much!  {There is a good key for a relationship:  While giving of yourself to your partner, remember to keep a since of self.  Getting lost in the other person will have the opposite effect that you may be looking for.} So, I have drawn all my other business to hobby ventures.  While building this focused venture to it ultimate height!

I think this will be a great way for us to stop arguing.  You heard me right!   My love and I have been arguing.  About what?  Spending time together. So, I believe this venture will end the fight.  I will still be doing what I love.  My love will be doing what he loves and we will be doing it together.  We can live our passions and regain our passion at the same time.

How good can life get from here?  Well, we will see…

Since, I have been down and out and feeling under the weather.  I still can’t talk and all that jazz, I will resume the 30 day dress for success challenge when I at least can talk.  I must admit… I have not been dressing for success.   Its easy to stay in the bed when you work at home.  So, I’ve been resting up to get well.

To My Fellow Self Help Junkies,

I am still being bogged down from the dregs of what started off as, I thought and ear infection.  The ER doc thought, allergies.  Now, I believe again that it is an infection, because the Claritin D broke up the mucus and as it drained from the ears to the nose and throat, I now have what appears to be a cold, but feels more like a bronchial infection.  So, I stopped taking the Claritin and started in on some Antibiotics that I didn’t finish taking a couple months ago. [I may have just admitted that this whole shindig is my fault.] I can’t talk, because my voice is so hoarse, and you know I love talking.  There is video after video on this site.  That’s cool because now, I’m feeling better and rethinking my blog…

I am constantly redoing the look of this blog and tweaking it, so that I can find my place and my voice.  This is the thing about being new to blogging.  You must work with what you have and continually make changes until you feel comfortable with your blog and you are having fun.

Writing is definitely what I love to do.  I wouldn’t rather do anything except sit here and fill these pages with what I am learning from day to day!  That is my joy!  Young to blogging, I mixed some things with my blog that did not belong here.  So, today, I promise to separate those blogs off to other blogs and keep it separate from the voice of Gerlaine dot com.

I have removed many of the ads that I plagued my site with in what seemed to me an ungodly fashion.   I have made my site seem just a little bit more at home to me.  If it feels good to me, then I believe it will feel good to others that I attract to the site.  I will still be going through some changes on theme and colors and semantics.  I will even be adding some tasteful and relevant ads to the site.  I won’t mix all of my business in one bowl ever again.  I couldn’t even begin to tell you where I got that bright idea in the first place.

Doesn’t the site seem a little bit cozier?

I know it feels that way to me.  Maybe, I can attract some more readers who will feel the cozy vibe and stick around for a while and read a few more pages.

I must admit, that it will take me a day or two to rid my site of my wonderful blogs and separate them off onto their own appropriate blog sites.  I think I only have enough info on here to make one more blog.  But I am going to see.

As for this blog…

This blog is going to be strictly self-help material.  Personal development through encouragement, tips, strategies and good down home advice.  Though hard sometimes for me to focus, I have the plan on keeping the blog focused to one specific genre. You Developing You by Way of Me Developing Me.

I am thinking about making this site a much bigger venue than merely a blog alone.  There is so much more to come from Gerlaine.  Thank you for being with me as I grow as a person and as this site grows.

I am missing this blog.  I have not been keeping it up, because I have not been feeling well.  I thought that I had an ear infection, but it was definitely something else.  The ER said that it was Allergies, but it has proved to be more than that.

I love all my readers and promise to get updated as soon as possible.  I wish I had someone to continue my blog for me.  I don’t know how to add auto feeds.  I am just learning this stuff.  But hey, I’ll be back and learn all that stuff in the process!
